2017 Award Winner
Our 1st annual Outstanding Texas Audiologist award was presented at the 2017 TAA Conference in San Marcus to Dr. Karen Markuson Ditty. Congratulations, Dr. Ditty!
Dr. Ditty was highly recommended by her colleagues as well as by parents of the many children she has served. Dr. Ditty was key in advocating for insurance coverage for hearing aids and cochlear implants for children in Texas during multiple legislative sessions and, finally saw her efforts come to fruition with the successful passage of House Bill 490. Dr. Ditty’s commitment, hard work and perseverance helped keep these efforts alive over many years and so many Texas parents are grateful to her!
